Projects I undertake

Web Zines, Portals, Band Sites, Club Sites, Small Business, Merchant Accounts, Forums, Members Only Sites, Ad Servers (examples of many of my own can be found in the Content Sites Section)

Web Zines: Publishing online can be very rewarding form of expressionism. It seems everyone has something to say. What better way than a magazine. Give it a look and attitude and you have a scene. But just how do you create one online? I’ve been intrigued with online publishing for some time. In the course of making several online magazines I have figured a lot out. Now I can show you how to create your online magazine.

Portals: Portals are sites that serve up links to other sites that may be of use to the audience. This includes community sites that distribute information. A guide or directory would also fall into this category.

Band Sites: Musical acts that have a web site often wreck the function of it with their artistic megalomania. People come to band sites to experience a couple specific tasks. Help the audience out by fulfilling their needs.

Small Business: Many businesses from ma and pa operations to 100 person companies are trying to get involved in the Internet. The largest problem is lack of knowledge on how to take their off-line company and rebuild it in Cyber Space. In some cases, the transition is too costly. For other companies, having the larger audience of the Internet is the more profitable plan.

Merchant Accounts: Accept credit cards. Sell a service or a product. Remember that the most difficult part of an Internet business is called “fulfillment.” That’s where you have to ship the product out. If you can’t ship your product, get out.

Forums: Community boards where members can register and post threads for discussion or server up news posts where readers can comment on the stories. Both require software engines and a database. This is more difficult than what a graphic designer can do.

Members Only Site: Make a part of your site available for members only. Members can be anyone registered with you who has paid or has a free account.

Ad Servers: If your site wants to sell ad space on it, I have ad server software that allows your client to rotate a banner ad on your site where they can pick how many impressions (times it has been downloaded) they would like. Your client can log in and access reports on the campaign. Served from a third party server we keep it honest for both parties and only retain a small percent off each order.

Auction Strategies

Auction Strategies: eBay many other specialty auction sites have opened up a whole new realm of commerce between individuals searching for items or those looking to sell. I’ve been using eBay since 1996 when I started buying up guitars and amps to bring into the music store I worked and resell them on the floor. After years of buying and selling, I’ve reached a point where I can now help others who have items they wish to part with and make some money. Below are some of the services I can be of assistance with.

Sell Your Goods on eBay
Drive Traffic to your online store or business
Selling Your Item after the auction

Sell your goods on eBay: Trying to get rid of some junk on eBay but don’t know where to begin? I can sell your item outright or help you along the various points of the sales cycle.

· researching your good’s worth 1
· taking photos of your goods 2
· hosting photos 3
· strategies on using seller’s features like “buy it now” and “reserve price” 4

1 Researching to know what you item is worth helps price it. Spending the time searching on the Internet or eBay to determine an item’s worth may not be mind boggling but it is time consuming. And some people are better than others at searching for the kinds of thing that determine how rare something is and its approximate value on the auction market.

2 Without photos, many people don’t trust your description. Even if you use a bad blurry photo, it lowers the risk that you are scamming. Each photo is unique and having your own unique picture of your goods is a large part of winning confidence with buyers.

3 EBay allows only one free photo to be stored in your description. ebay does let you use html code in your description. Using html code I can link to or insert additional images of your goods.

4 Feeling out the starting price of your goods is one of the areas I can research for you. There are tools on eBay such as “buy it now” and “reserve price” which are useful but can sometimes cost you money. There are add on fees which go along with these tools and certain options like “buy it now” may leave you selling your goods premature and netting you less money. Knowing when to use them is another strategy I can consult on.

Drive traffic to your online store or business: Store owners have been successful getting rid of unwanted items through eBay or even getting a higher price then what they had been able to obtain previously. But selling on eBay gives up a small part of the sale. For store owners who have online stores, using eBay to drive traffic to it is one way to get the most out of an auction. If  buyers like the one item you have for auction, maybe they will visit your site and shop more of the same. I have experience working with stores to drive traffic from eBay to their sites.

Selling Your Item Post Auction: Not every item is guaranteed to sell. Even cost of $0 wont mean you can sell your goods. It still requires someone willing to bid. Given that auctions are only 7 days long, there is a fairly high chance that the a buyer for your item is looking during that moment, or that they missed it somehow. Infinity Fish Productions is glad to announce a web site called Coolbotzwhich (like a garage sale) can host and store your item until an interested party inquirers.

What is the most effective way for a small business to advertise?

What cost effective ways are there for a small business (sole trader) to advertise? Magazine and newspaper advertising seems to be very expensive and offers low returns, so what alternatives are there?

If you provide the customer with a good service let him be your mouthpiece. Stat's say that if you do a good job they will tell only a few friends. If you do a bad job it gets to over 200 people.

Word of mouth is very slow! Appear in front of local clubs. Tell them about your service or what you are all about. It is free and you usually get a free lunch!

Hand out flyers. Cheap but not too effective!

Radio is the best! Depending on how you promote!

What is the best form of advertising for small business's?

Like others said, it depends on the business. Word of mouth is the cheapest and best. If you sell a product, give to your friends and family at a discount or free and have them passs the word. Also pass out business cards to everyone you meet. Good luck.

Advertising my small business?

I am currently running a small business. We offer Bath and Body products and candles.
How can we advertise locally and online?
Also is there a way I can set up a web site for cheap?

How will you accept credit cards? www.tristateprocessing.com
Because getting it up and running and not taking them will only lose 90% of your potential customers.

Anyway – you could use google adwords. [most views - but your monthly pay out would have to be high in order to compete per clicks or your site disappears the rest of the month] 7search and or any pay per click site could get you running.

I know 7search will allow you 400 keyword phrases or words and you can start out bidding 5 cents per click. Of course – you put $25 in the pot and let it run down. And do that as often as you like.

The drawback is you get alot less exposure. But these sort of programs are great to cut your teeth on in the business world. Just look up search engine pay per click ads.

They will also help you choose keywords. The thing to do is find goofy phrases. :0)

Anyway, I wish you the best in your success.
