Do I have to file taxes for a business that has never made any money?
Earlier this year I made an EIN for a business I intended to start, however I recieved a great job offer elsewhere so I did not pursue this business idea and it made no money, literally not a single cent (it also spent no money either). Do I have to do anything else or special when filing my personal taxes since there was no money involved like also filing a business tax form or something of that nature?
If it isn’t incorporated, no you don’t have to file if you had no income. A corporation has to file anyway though.
